    KPL Errors

    Hello.

Got a issue that started with one of my 8 Button KPLs. Its an older one and here are the specs. This device has worked fine with HS2 for over 2 years and has worked the last 1-2 months since starting to run HS3. The issue were having is commands from the KPL are not being sent to HS, BUT commands from HS are being sent to the device.

    KeypadLinc V2 Dimmer 40 0 i2 99% (2 failed out of 203 cmds) 252 184 15 Good

I've noticed so errors in the log as noted below and I've emailed you the Error Log.

Apr-24 7:32:33 AM Insteon ** An error occurred in this plug-in. The details have been written to the log file - C:\Program Files (x86)\HomeSeer HS3\Config\Insteon Error Report.Log
Apr-24 7:32:33 AM Insteon ** To request help with this problem please post this log file to the forum along with a detailed description of what lead to this problem.
Also something else strange is that one of the Insteon (2 Ton Unit)Tstats is having DEV errors again. On another 6 Button KPL I have noticed some strange Links to our 2nd HVAC unit (4 Ton), but I never created these links and they manifested themselves.

have you tried the 'program device for homeseer'. seems like the plm doesn't recognize msgs from the kpl.

Another important piece of info is that we recently updated HS3 to its current version.

The upgrade didn't go very smoothly as many plugins wouldn't shut down in order to upgrade. Not sure if this is the cause or important info.

Ok, so I tried to "Reprogram Device for HS" even though its been working fine and the effects the same. (Meaning the device wont send status changed to HS, But HS can control each and every button without issue. The COMMS are Only 1 Ways.

Heres the latest log with reference of a "CAPI Control Handler". All these logs are noted from HS sending command to the device and again not logs or actions are created from the device sending signal to HS

Just checked and their Both there. However the hspi_Insteon file is an actual application and lacks and ".DLL" extension where the Insteon.DLL is an application extension. Not sure if this makes a diff.

Last modified back in the middle of last month when I first installed HS3.

well I'm at a loss. i did review the code and the startup error isn't really an issue in turns of functionality. its only trying to display the version of the insteon.dll to the hs log.

do maybe we should focus on the other error

can you post a log snippet of the error from the error log file here
