yeah i called them and they are going to email me a link to updated pricing..
basically it is
$199 for first unit
$129 for second unit..
but for the peeps up here running this.... with hs plugin..
how do you go about connecting 2 of these puppies up? anyone do that with the plugin yet?
I am going to go 2 in about a week....
I want to monitor
main
dryer
a/c
remaining misc circuits in house....
doing 2 units will get m
main + 6 circuits + 7 circuits from second unit...
also im gonna have to hook these up via serial?
i see a zigbee adapter or ethernet?
ok so since i have not ordered anything yet.. what is the best way to hookup 2 of these?

Which plugin are you using?
The free tenHsEcm12xx plugin supports two ECMs as follows:
1 serial port and 1 ethernet
2 ethernet
So, make sure one of them can be connected via ethernet.

If it is within your budget, I always advise getting the radio built into the ECM as it keeps your options open going forward.
You need at least one wirelessly talking to an etherbee connected to your network.

oh so i also need a etherbee then..
so if i got 2 units with built in wireless and a etherbee.. then i dont need to worry about serial ports and running serial cables then???
that would be nice...

That's what I'd recommend. Working great for me. I test with one serial and one ethernet, but revert back to running both through the etherbee most of the time. Never had a problem.

can you point me in what I would need? sorry but i have really no clue on this end...
http://www.brultech.com/price2ecm1240.html
I was hoping to do just the serial and ethernet... when you say this can be done.. you are saying one as serial and the other as ethernet, the ethernet one is cat5 based non wireless right?
so if I get Package B/200 with E1 expansion..
that will give me
both with serial (rs232) and one with etherport (rs232)
that would do it then that way right?

The scenario of one ECM with a Zigbee radio talking to and Etherbee (Etherbee wired via Cat5 to your router) and another ECM without radio connected via a serial cable works very well.
That would be:
A+/200 for 243.00
E1 for 129.95
Etherbee for 139.38
With that configuration, I can help you get up and running quickly and it is probably the cheapest for you.

im gonna have to weigh out what to do...
can I just do 1 via serial then? im gonna presume yes....

Start with one serial and you can always add the second later.
