Default On-Open-Motion & Off-Closed-No Motion

I have a Aeon D/W Sensor and it always reports either..

On-Open-Motion or Off-Closed-No Motion

I want to change it to just Open or Closed...

I went into "edit value-status" and i was able to change it.. but once the sensor was changed.. it went back to On-Open-Motion & Off-Closed-No Motion...

I was successfuly in adding graphics to the status.. but i still cant not change the text... any ideas?

Thanks

Is the sensor linked to HS through a plug-in?

You might get more response in the Z-wave forum.
I don't use Z-wave, so I have no specific knowledge. You could look at the UltraStatus plug-in.

How did you get it to report to HomeSeer??
I have the same sensor, but I can't get it to report anything other than battery status. It always says No Motion...

The firm I bought it from claimed that I had to assosiate it to another physical Z-wave device (like a on-off switch) and then set up HomeSeer to report the status of the sensor (open/closed) based on the on-off switches status....

I have HS 2.0.4.1 and used a ZTH200+ ZCU201 to add everything to my network. However recently I have been using a Aeon Labs Z-stick, but I just transfered the old network (ZTH200) over to the Z-stick. Could that be the problem? Will the Aeon W/D sensor work if I add it to the network using the Z-stick instead?

Did you try associating it with HomeSeer?

I tried to do that the other day, but still no go.
But today I thought I'd try to add it to the Z-stick. But I could not get the Z-stick into the "add/include" mode. (When I hit the button, it glowed blue for about 3 sec, but then turned off again... No slow blinking like the manual says...)

So I reset the Z-stick to factory presets, and then used my ZTH200 to feed the z-stick with my Z-wave network settings, trying to "salvage" the network... This is basicly what I did the first time I got my Z-stick. However to my surprise, the Aeon Labs D/W sensor now worked!

I got 4 devices from the sensor (root device, Binary sensor (open/closed), battery sensor, and something called alarm sensor.) I am unsure what the alarm sensor does, but I'm guessing ot triggers if somebody tampers with the physical sensor itself. Anybody know?

Anyways, now it's working perfectly!

Now, after I installed my network again, my HSM100 have stopped reporting motion (reports constant motion, all the time..), so I'm off to try an fix that without breaking something else!

Yes the alarm sensor is for if someone rips the sensor off of the door/window/wall...
