Default Comments in mcs application ini files

Do mcs apps allow the use of comments in the respective ini files?
If so, which delimiter should be used: semicolon [;], pound [#] or ??

The semicolon is used as the first character on a line to indicate a comment. There are some cases where entire groups are rebuilt so comments in those groups are not retained. The type of groups that are rebuilt may be something like a sensor list. Those that are not rebuild are like individual setup options. If a new group is definded the entire contents of the group will not be changed so comments in that group will persist.
