Poll - HS v2.4... or 2.3... or 2.2...
I am thinking about updating to HS2.4, but just wanted to get a little feedback from the users. It is sometimes hard to tell by just following the "release" thread how things are going...

I'm still at 2.3.0.19, everytime I update too soon WAF drops like a rock.

I know what you mean about decrease in WAF... mostly due to my time spent tweaking things more than her dependance on the system.
I am pretty content at 2.3.0.86, but I am in the process of moving to a newly built HS Server and was debating doing a Full Install with v2.4.0.1. or just trying to get 2.3.0.86 running smoothly then update to v2.4.0.1 later.
Based on the poll results so far... I am starting to lean toward going straight into v2.4.0.1

Hey, jump in... the water's fine! The beta versions leading up to 2.4 were really beat on pretty good. It's very solid.

Upgrade to 2.4 was pretty painless for me...
I did a couple of the betas (2.3.0.130 or so..) and didnt' have any large problems....
If you are on z-wave... you need to rescan (at least i did) all nodes... but everything went smooth...
I don't have anything "exotic" ... and the only error i have is a note on bootup from ACRF2 that one of the calls it uses has been depreciated... (Will be removed from H.S. in future?)
Running 3 days now... no issues.

2.4.0.1 is solid - Motion Sensors are running much more reliably

I voted that I'd update to 2.4 when I have more time, but actually I'm just waiting for the 64-bit Way2Call drivers so that I can begin with a fresh install of 2.4 on a new Win7 x64 PC.

Operational with 2.4
My update process was a bit of a PIA due to some battery devices I have and my limited time to play, all functions are operational and happy now. Been up and running with 2.4 for several days.

2.4.1 does not work with my HSM100's I tried all kinds of configuration including setting sensitivity to 0 and yet they all still see phantom motion. Even when the house is completely empty. Switched back to 2.3 and all is well again.

When you say stable, what are you referring to? I'm running 2.3.0.19 and think it is rock solid as well. I do notice a bit of memory creep (not serious) after 30 days or so - not such a big deal since I ghost every 30 days anyway.
I have yet to jump on the Z-wave bandwagon - though from what I have read, this is likely the most compelling reason to upgrade.

Ah... yes, well then - if it aint broken...
For myself, my X-10 works great, though I am interested in the Schlage Z-wave lock - which is why I'll upgrade at some point.
I'm almost getting to a stage that I don't want to rock the boat with my system. That is, there are no weird errors, system is stable, reliable and I'm beginning to depend on it. So I get nervous with making any major changes to it as I don't want to spend a weekend fixing it. (too much like work - if you know what I mean!) ... and yes, I am well backed up. On second thought, since winter is coming and we may get snowed in at some point, that could be a good way to spend the time.

I don't use Zwave either, however I will upgrade sooner rather than later. I notice that things get weird if you get too far behind in versions and an update comes out with features you really do want.

Thank you for all the feedback...
My plan is to make yet another full backup of my HS directory
Update to v2.3.0.137 beta (based on the feedback that jumping from v2.3.0.86 to v2.4.0.0 had some issues).
Launch HS running v2.3.0.137 beta.
Close HS and then update to v2.4.0.2
Do all the full rescan business, optimize three times, and hope all goes well. I only have intermatic wall switches, lamp modules, and relay modules being controlled by a Z-troller... so hopefully I will not run into the "root device" issue that some had to make adjustments for.
If all goes well on my current HS Server... then I will proceed to the process of a new full install at v2.4.0.2 on my new HS Server.

Neil - When/if you try again, be sure to wake the sensor up and do a rescan on each. Then, they should work fine with v2.4.
