Keep the connection to HS2 alive and the app running all time

I have deployed 5 (five) older iPads throughout the house as User Interface (UI) to HS.

iPad app by HS is version 2.25

Occasionally the iPad app will lose connection and need to be stopped and re-started in order to re-establish connection to HS. This defeats the purpose since the UI is for non techie family members.

All iPads are connected to HS over WiFi connection that is solid and stable.

Any suggestions what to do so that my HS apps do not drop connection to HS.

    Thanks,

    RIsquare

My ipads don't hold the connection either ... but my Samsung galaxy S tab does. I am guessing this is not about the HS client but about the OS shutting down connection. ipad hold battery much better when not in use/locked which is probably why it doesn't keep the connection unlike Samsung that drains battery at 15% per about 8 hours but keeps the connection.....
