    Thanks "cabbage"

Just wanted to thank "cabbage" for the information / script etc posted about the Keene KIRA modules. It has been extremely useful to have that to get us started on using a KIRA in our own installation.
We have been using other Keene IR equipment for some time driven from HS with a USB-UIRT but recently for reasons not fully diagnosed there had been problems of signals not being received.
So we bit the bullet and installed a KIRA module in Standalone mode receiving the IR signals from scripts in HomeSeer controlling a TV, a surround sound receiver and an electric IR controlled fire - the IR output from the module goes to a Keene IR distribution amplifier from where the individual device IR blasters connect.
So far so good. we had some problems learning the IR codes and some needed to be acquired through the USBUIRT lrnhelper program and then translated using the Keene Java tool.
We still use the USB-UIRT for some devices so we now have a mixed setup.
    Thanks again to cabbage!
