    They are surprisingly resilient, however I switched over to the Oregon wireless sensors a while back and they work equally as well...

      I've had 2 DS18s20's outside for a few years now. They're doing just fine, I did protect them from direct rain and snow by mounting them in the soffit in the front of the house and in a speaker enclosure in the rear. Best to keep them out of direct sunlight.

        That was my plan... to mount them under the eaves.
