Try to telnet into port 5006 of the IP were the MCS software is installed.

I can issue commands this way as well and control the GC. You will see the #PING responses as well.

I never did use Hyperterm as this is not installed with Win7.

that is how i do it now is using a .net page i created and telnet.

but i need serial control so it will interact back with hspro and hte plugin

Use PortShare on the PC that HS is installed and configure as below with the proper com port number. Then use this com port number for the nuvo plugin.

This will create a virtual com port and redirect to port 5006.

Also, My port 13 is defined the same as 12 but only connects when running my scripts to control the GC.

                    Chris,

if i setup the port share and use 5006 i can see the commands returning back however hs doesnt do anything. but if i bypass the mp then it works fine. so i am trying to figure that part out now.

Setup MCS port to be a pass thru for the data.

See the screenshot for the details. I am using com 6.

The attached .dll does work with zones and sources but has a limited control of sources.

                        Steps:
Delete all the NUVO devices in the status page
                        Shut down HS
Replace the NUVO.DLL file in your HSPRO file with this one.
Delete all the info in the NUVO.INI file in the config folder.
                        Restart HS
Disable NUVO PI then click save.
Enable NUVO PI then click save.

Limited control is available from the status page but zones will not turn off. More control can be accomplished with events. This is far from a full working solution, but gives some control of the GC.

Maybe someone can use the info, figure out what is wrong in the source code, and make it a fully functional PI.

                          File attached.

                          Rename to HSPI_NUVO.dll from HSPI_NUVO.txt

This was an updated .dll that was sent from HS for one of the helpdesk tickets.

My connection is PC(HS and MCS installed)-DB9-MP-DB9-GC.
