      Hi Jon,

      I am configuring your Quick View application and loving it! Great job. I am having one slight issue though. I am trying to turn on and off the virtual lamp that gets installed with Homeseer and it is not working. Status is working fine. Here is the section from the ini file:

      Column2Section1-1Left=Porch Lamp
      Column2Section1-1Right=ButtonDevice On ,A1=on||80%,A1=ddim=80%||60%,A1=ddim=60%||40%,A1=ddim=40%||2 0%,A1=ddim=20%|| Off ,A1=off
      Column2Section1-1RightExtra=DeviceA1
      Column2Section1-1Height=

      The device name is "Lamp" and the device id is A1.

      Thank you,
      Kevin

        Hey,

        I got it. I found the answer from a previous poster with the same issue. I had to put location and device name in from of the action like so:

        Column2Section1-1Right=ButtonDevice On ,Porch Lamp=on||80%,Porch Lamp=ddim=80%||60%,Porch Lamp=ddim=60%||40%,Porch Lamp=ddim=40%||20%,Porch Lamp=ddim=20%|| Off ,Porch Lamp=off

        Jon, this quick view application is truly awesome.

        Thank you,
        Kevin

          Thanks very much...looks like you figured out the problem!

          I assume you got the weather part working?

            Hi Jon,

            I have gotten the weather part working. I have created two different weather sections like you had. I have created new sections so I can add different parts of my house. I love this quick view! Excellent app. Thank you so much for sharing it. I will be making a donation for this fine app after the holidays.

            Thank you,
            Kevin

                Robert,

                You cannot control a group via a button, only a single device or event.

                You will need to create Homeseer events to do what you want and then call each event via a button.

                  Wow, am I Stupid!

                  Here's a tip for those like me...read Jon's PDF carefully! I'm writing this because I found no mention of it in the forum (or maybe I missed it).

                  On more than one occasion, I struggled to use buttons with no luck. I tweaked the INI several various ways, adding references to stylesheets and changing syntax, etc. etc., pulling out my remaining hair.

                  I discovered that I still had the V1.05 BuildPage.aspx file in my HTLM directory, and was linking to it from my main menu. Hence, I was not seeing any benefit to the various versions I had downloaded and thought I had correctly installed. So, I deleted BuildPage.aspx and changed my menu link to use BuildPage.ash. And, like magic, Jon's wonderful plugin brought tears of joy to my eyes.

                  Jon, thanks so much for the excellent tool. You are a coding magician!

                          I see where you're going, you wanted something sort of like my right side column. That's done in the section you're trying to effect.

                            I put the exact code as you did.. except changed it for me...
                            and still doesnt show the last changed 3rd column...

                            also it doesnt show the sub heading for me either...
