Anybody try these out? Do they work with HomeSeer? Price seems pretty good at $39.99.

I just saw these too. At first glance they seem great but after thinking about it I'm not so sure. You need a power supply and a motor. For the total cost it might make more sense to just go rollertroll.

      That's pretty neat,

I wonder if I could make this work with my eRods?

        Hi Bernie,

Those look interesting. I don't see any info on the site as to where to buy them. Did you get yours online or are they available in stores?

        Thanks
        Al

          Hey Al,

I really like them, beleive it or not, it's my wife that found them .... same wife that's not too excited about home automation. Now she loves them.

Not sure if they are available on the Canadian sites, but here in the US, they could be found at Amazon (where my wife originally found them) and also at Walmart.com (where I got them from since shipping was faster and close to home to pickup)

They've been working flawlesly for 3 months now, and I'm using the battery pack so that I don't have to see any wires to outlets (plus you can still control them if you have a power failure)

They also look pretty nice, we have had nice comments from friends on how nice they look. The only issue (and it's not an issue for me) is that they will make a little bit of noise when they open/close, so they are not totally silent. but it doesn't bother me at all. and it's only for 10 seconds in the morning and 10 seconds at night, I can live with the noise for the price point. You can see a few demos on Youtube and get an idea of the noise factor.

          Bernie

Thanks Bernie, I don't see them on amazon.ca or walmart.ca, but looks like homedepot.ca sells them (for quite a bit more than the US prices ).

            Cheers
            Al

PS Is the remote IR or RF? If RF, do you know what frequency?

That's a heck of a price. I bought the new Somfy ZRTSI controller, although I have yet to integrate it:

              https://www.somfypro.com/z-wave

What I like is that it basically acts as an additional remote control, and doesn't replace the existing remote system. Rather, it takes z-wave commands and sends them along to the Somfy system.

So, has anyone integrated the monoprice z-wave items in the first post with the eRod curtains?

What was required to make them inter-operate?

How did you set it up in HS3?

They seem to be a knockoff of the 89$ rollertroll zwave module.

Do the Rollertroll Z-wave module work with HS? The Rollertroll website says yes?

Zwave is universal, so almost certainly yes. Following gearty, and this thread: http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=174182

I have been corresponding with rollertrol, and it seems that the RFX can control all and then some. So rather than individual zwave modules, would be better off with one RFX. I will post my full findings after I have researched more.

When new devices come on to market, they aren't always fully functional with HS even though its z-wave. Like z-smoke under hs2, certain lock functions, and Aeon Energy Switches/Meters etc. There always seems to be some tweaking needed to get full functionality.
Yes, I too am all set and have prewired my windows for the Rfxcom-rollertrol. Just haven't had time to take it on yet.
Just wanted to know if anyone has experience using these zwave shade modules. Looking forward to your feedback.
