    rain8net inputs with HST plugin

    Hi,

i scored a rain8net for 5 bucks on ebay which is awesome.

it seems to have an input on the unit which i have setup via the WGL config as a rain sensor.

the HST plugin for the rain8 does not seem to support the input.

this is the plugin i am using as it is free with HS3 Pro:

    is this a supported feature?

    thanks

I doubt it. I believe mcsSprinklers PRO is the only plugin that supports it. When configured as a counter it is used to measure water utilization during irrigation and detect failures. When configured as a switch/rain sensor then it can be used as an inhibit for automatic irrigation cycles. I worked with Warren/WGL to add the input to the Rain8Net. It existed on the standard models until the Pro version were developed and the feature then only available on the Pro hardware.

well that is a pity, it seems like such an easy thing to add to the plugin, its just one serial read.

thanks for getting it added to the hardware tho!!
