    Foscam .h624

I have a F19828P Foscam .h624 camera. I am not able to add this to the HS touch Designer tool. I am using the address from the documentation but with no luck. Has anyone installed this camera in HS3 or know what the correct url would be?

Address I am using with my info in it.

    http://CAMIP:80/snapshot.cgi?user=admin&pwd=pass

    Thanks in advance...

    Try port 88.

        Hi Paul32,

Thanks for sharing this, I've been researching this for quite sometime. I have the FI9853EP as well and not having any luch. Can you please confirm exact syntax? I tried what you posted and it did not work. Are there dots in between?

        Thanks

          Hi,
          This is the URL "http://192.168.XX.XX:88/.cgi-bin/CGIProxy.fcgi?cmd=snapPicture2&usr=admin&pwd=password&"

Hope it works for you also.

PS I have updated the camera to the latest firmware.

          Regards Paul

            Paul,

Have you been able to get a live video stream with that command? I can get only snapshots and only if I use a HTML. I get no video or snapshots using an image element. I have several of their non-high def mpeg cameras which do give a live video stream in an image element.

            Thanks,
            Robert

I already have it setup using a text element with the isHTML property set 'true'. No live video just snapshots with the FI9831P cam. You mentioned that you use IOS. I have tried both the Android and Windows clients. Maybe it's a bug in the Android/Windows version of HSTouch.

However, I have figured out many other commands for the .h264 Foscams. Attached is what I have figured out so far. It represents many hours of hair pulling as I deciphered (and corrected) their SDK. Hope it helps someone.

                Hi Robert,

The text file you shared fixed my problem. I was able to use this command to get the video work in HSTouch on IOS. http://ipaddress:port/cgi-bin/CGIPro...d=snapPicture2

I would suggest you paste the content in a post so that people who do a search can find these commands, I am sure so many are looking for these, me being one of them.

Thanks for sharing and enhancing our lives

Thanks Varouj. Good idea. I will post these commands in a separate post.

So live video works in ios. It doesn't work in the windows client. As far as Android, I just remembered that the html function is still broken. You can't point an html to any url. It's a known bug. I'll have to file a bug report for the Windows client now that I know it does work in IOS.
