Ultra1Wire HSPI For HomeSeer 2.2
Ultra 1-Wire HSPI for HomeSeer2
Ultra 1-Wire Features:- Automatically discovers and builds HomeSeer devices for each DS18S20 and DS18B20 temperature sensor.
- Automatically discovers and builds HomeSeer devices for other sensors supported by the Temp08.
- Logs all temperature readings to a OLEDB aware database.
- Currently supports Microsoft Access 2003 (database included), Microsoft SQL 2000 and Microsoft SQL 2005.
- Database queries for both Microsoft Access and Microsoft SQL server have been redesigned to automatically average the data based on the start/end date selected. For date ranges < 1 day, the chart data is averaged by minute. For date ranges < 7 days, the chart data is averaged by hour. For all other date ranges, the queries are averaged by day.
- Ability to open and close database connections while plug-in is running.
- Debuging output to troubleshoot database connection issues.
- Ability to specify custom connection strings.
- Ability to purge database records after a specified number of months.
- Ability to trigger HomeSeer2 events based on the device temperature.
- Charts available via ChartDirector version 4.
1-Wire Interfaces Supported:1-Wire Temperature Sensors Supported By HA7E/HA7Net:- 1 or more DS18S20 temperature sensors ($5 - $8 each)
- 1 or more DS18B20 temperature sensors ($5 - $8 each)
1-Wire Temperature Sensors Supported By Temp08:- 1 or more DS18S20 temperature sensors
- 1 or more DS18B20 temperature sensors
- Other non-temperature sensors supported by the Temp08.

Ultrajones,
Does the HA7E 1-Wire Interface with Ultra1Wire software works on the 64bit version of Vista Home Premium?

I have not tested it, but is should just work. There are no special drivers needed to access the HA7E. It uses 100% .Net code.

At this time, the Ultra1Wire HSPI only supports humidity sensors connected to the TEMP08. I am not aware of a humidy sensor that can be used outdoors. This is what I have connected to my TEMP08:
The HA7Net also supports humidity sensors. I plan on re-writing the plug-in to add support for most sensors supported by the HA7Net. The HA7E will *only* support temperature sensors.
The TEMP08 connects to your PC via a serial connection. The HA7Net connects to you PC via your home network and mutiple PC's can access it at the same time.

Ultrajones

Trial rendered invalid after update to 2.3.0.19 (HS)
I'm a bit unhappy now. After upgrading my HomeSeer to Version 2.3.0.19 from 2.2.0.66 I had to recognize that Ultra1Wire plugIn is not working anymore, although there were still 11 days left from trial period.
The log shows the following initialization problem:
| 18.06.2009 22:26:48 | Info | Finished initializing plug-in Ultra1Wire | | 18.06.2009 22:26:48 | Error | (1) Unable to initialize interface Ultra1Wire :Either no license or trial has expired |
|
I wanted to check out the plug-in first if it is usable for me, as I had/have some troble still with it regarding the date format when accessing the database.
So I'm clueless once more.
Ideas ?

Please open a HomeSeer trouble ticket and request they reset your trial license. That will get you another 30 days. Please send me an email at ultrajones@hotmail.com so I can send you a version for testing that resolves the problem with a dot as a date separator.
Regards,
Ultrajones

Do you own any 1-wire hardware like the TEMP08 or the HA7Net?

AAG Weatherstation
Ok, so I purchased the Temp08 unit with a handful of hobbyboards and all is well. I also ordered an AAG weatherstation (model WSI603A) and connected it to my 1-wire network only to find out it is based on the DS2760 and the Temp08 won't talk to it. When I purchased the AAG unit it included a USB-1Wire interface based on the DS2480 chip. It has two ports on the unit, though I would only need one to connect the weather station.
Will the ultra1Wire plug-in support both 1Wire interfaces? Simultaneously?
I would have the Temp08 with two 2408 I/O modules and two 2438 (Voltage and Barometer) connected. I would also have the AAG built DS2480 with the DS2760 based weather station attached.
Thoughts?
