Yes I can go with the 13th as well.
Great to see you all again this evening. Very interesting and enlightening regarding the T5 development.
Now that should get lots wondering.

Are you having problems with yours?
I can give you a loan of one if that's any help?

thanks for the offer Andy - but given past experiences I too have a spare one. It can be connected via Serial or USB. I'm still trying to track down my no-working X10 lights but swapping the CM11U made no difference. I'm working my way through switching everything off room by room to see what's blocking commands.

well that didn't take long! Room two and I've discovered that it's our rather old fridge/freezer in the kitchen that's started blocking X10 signals. Normally when I encounter something like this I'd plug in an X10 Filter but it's hard wired. Is there something I can fit in this case or should I convert to plug and socket?

The economic way would be to convert to plug and socket Sir.

I agree with Gogs, stick a plug on it.

thanks guys will do...
I've ordered another filter today but it was touch and go last night - was i really going to spend more money on X10 when most of my stuff is now ZWave?
All that wasn't working was three lights that are all hardwired with LD11s. However I figured I would take a bit of time and money to undo this so, rightly or wrongly, i put it off for later...

Malcolm, if you are running X10 then I would imagine that you would have to spend more of those Scottish Pound Notes to get rid of the noise.
Have you considered the possibility that the noise is coming from Z-Wave?
After all it is a RF Transceiver set up, is it not.

maybe - but i already proved last night that by switching off and on the fridge freezer in the kitchen that this unit was blocking the X10 signals to the lighting circuit...

Hi guys
Are we still OK for he 13th?
I have had a small brainwave in my quest to nick some good ideas. If you have got time, is there any chance of making up a small drawing of you HA system?
Dave this doesn't apply to you since we only have 10 days
Cheers

Hi Andy,
Yes I am still up for Friday the 13th.
Erm, what do you mean by "small drawing"? Are you looking for a schematic, floor plan or wiring diagram?
Where is the meeting this time, and I presume it's 1900 ish as usual?

Hi Gogs
Just a sort of rough overview. What sorts of inputs and outputs you have connected to your PC?, what technology they use?. What events do they control? Any future expansion. Any cool toys such as your touch screen. That sort of thing.
Cheers
