Hello,

I purchased the Russound plug-in to work with my MCA-C5 unit from Russound and it works partially. Any word if the plug-in will be updated to support the new Russound units?

Joe - We don't have the new system here and have not been sent any notification about a protocol change. What doesn't work?

So far, it seems the only basic function that I cannot do is:

Turn individual Zone OFF
Turn All Zones OFF
Turn Tuner OFF

What I have tested so far that works is:

Turn Individual Zone ON
Change Source
Change Volume UP/Down
Direct Tune to Station

Let me know if you would like me to open a ticket with Russound.

Mark,

I contacted Russound and was told by an Integration Specialist ~ Dealer Services that there is a change in protocols between the CAM and the MCA. The hex codes found in the Russound RS232 hex codes v1_00_5.pdf document work with all Russound controllers. I have attached this document to this post.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help with the updated plug in.

Does anyone know if the plugin supports the MCA-C5 system completely yet?? I have a CAV6.6 new in the box i was going to use.. but id much rather have the C5 system.. Thanks

the C5 system is not supported yet and there is no timetable for it at the moment.
