GC-100 COM Port?

How do I tell the GCIR Receiver plugin to use the serial port on my GC-100-6?

If I plug my GC-IRE into a COM port on my computer and enter that COM port number in the setup screen, it seems to work fine to trigger events. However, when I plug the GC-IRE into my GC-100, Homeseer does not respond to those same commands (nothing shows up in the log).

What am I missing?

I was missing a Com Port Redirector. Since the COM port on the GC-100 is not on my local machine, the Redirector is needed to make it appear as a COM port on the local machine. I used the free download from Lantronix. It is mentioned on the Global Cache web site, though I missed it before.

Apparently version 3.1.0.4 is the one to use. I also had to set it to Raw Mode in the Port Settings to make it work.
