    1.0.3.0 Issue? Rapidly Changing Sources

Not sure if this is related to the recent upgrade. I installed 1.0.3.0 and my Russound CAM has been acting unreliably. The key pads cycle through all of the sources quickly -- I enabled debugging and it seems like Homeseer and my CAM6.6T are always talking. Once I disabled the plug-in the keypads went back to normal and now stay on the selected source.

I currently have the plug-in disabled. I didn't have any problems like this with the old version.

Anyone else having problems like this? Thank you!

Here is an excerpt of the communication that I'm seeing:

Bob (Blade) may have missed this post. You may want to report the problem on his web site. There's a link in his signature.

The keypads are cycling the sources with you doing anything?
If so then that is strange.

I was able to replicate this issue,

If you quickly change sources on the keypad, it will go into a loop of switching sources

Yes -- if I manually change the source with the source button on the keypad then it seems to start a loop of cycling through them. This is the only thing that seems to introduce this. We leave the keypad in our son's room on tuner and just simply toggle power at night. His keypad has never cycled.

I currently have the plug-in disabled (and missing it very much) and the problem has stopped. As soon as I enable it the problem is re-introduced.

          Thanks!

OK log a help desk ticket on my web site.
Enable debug logging in the plugin and capture the issue in the plugin with debug logging enabled. Once you have captured the issue then disable debug logging and attach the BLRussound-Detailed.log to the help desk ticket.

              Try disabling

"Use Plug-in Source Names for Zone Keypad Displays"

I think this may have something to do with it as a temporary fix. Thanks

                Blade,

Any resolution to the rapidly changing source issue? I am seeing the problem as well.

I actually didn't have the "Use Plug-in Source Names for Zone Keypad Displays" setting enabled. I have since enabled it and then disabled it -- but the problem persists for me. When I change the source locally using the source button the plug-in continues to cycle through all sources until I disable it. I even tried to delete the controller from the plug-in and add it again -- problem persists.

I can replicate this problem on one of my controllers. It has a sticky source selector button, and if it sticks, the sources start to cycle. Once started, the cycling continues even after the button releases. It does not matter if the box to display plug-in source names is checked or not. I also had to disable the plug-in to stop the cycling.

                          Further experimentation

It does not take a very long "stick" to generate extra source changes. Interestingly, if the button sticks very briefly (too short to bring up the secondary menu for changing bass, etc.), I see just one round of changes, where the source selection makes one round trip back to the selected source and stops.

I can also replicate the problem just by holding down the source selection button on a keypad. Any attempt to bring up the secondary menu generates the source cycling as far as I can tell.

I actually had this occur again today - but this time it didn't involve pressing the source button. Homeseer had just finished making an annoucement using BLSpeech for an incoming call; after the announcement the keypad in our kitchen starting cycling through all of the sources. It wouldn't stop until I disabled BLRussound.
