HS3 Insteon 2413S and Global Cache

Is it possible to use a Global Cache iTach to create a connection to a serial PowerLink Modem that is a serial unit?

I don't see any HS3 config settings and I cannot find any Windows drivers to just emulate a COM port with the Global Cache unit.

    Thanks.

    UPDATE

After some digging I found a Windows client that lets you connect a Virtual Com Port via the Global Cache iTach unit. Here is the link to the driver and instructions to set it up.

I set it up and it does work. I configured the Insteon serial modem to use a standard COMx port that is attached to the iTach device that is connected to my LAN via WiFi.

As an FYI, if you need more than 1 com port redirected, Lantronix has a good redirector here: http://ltxfaq.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/928. It's free and allows many com ports to be redirected. The one that Global Cache shows only does 1 port in the free version.

    Cheers

Thanks. I will keep that in mind about multiple Com ports.
