Aeon Labs minimote works with HS3

FYI: the minimote works super with HS3

You get a Root device that change status after what button you press.
You can set up event triggets on button 1-4 press and button 1-4 long press.

    What to do:

Update firmware on aoen labs minimote:
    http://aeotec.com/partner/z-wave-fir...ory/4-minimote
I had to rename file from minimote_EU_1_18.EX_ to minimote_EU_1_18.EXE

    Reset Aoen minimote:
Hold "Associate" and "Learn" until the lights stop blinking.

    Include it on homeseer 3:
Press Learn button on the minimote
I had to include 4 times, before it was successful (due to the minimote falling asleep).

Now you can trigger events on the root device created by homeseer 3

Does anyone know if this will also work with the US firmware?

I think it will work, would be weird if it did not.

I haven't completely finished setting things up in HS3 yet so I'm still running HS2, but I can confirm that the US version of the MiniMote does work in HS3. The device status updates to reflect which button is pressed and you should be able to setup events to trigger off of the status changing.

Thanks for verifying!! Might just give me a reason to move to HS3.

I also can confirm this works fine.

            Here's what I did:
            1. Reset miniremote:
Hold "Associate" and "Learn" until the lights stop blinking.

            2. In PlugIns->z-wave->controller management: Actions: send network information to another controller
            3. Press start in the HS screen
            4. Press the "learn" key on miniremote
            5. Wait while the info is transfered into the miniremote
            6. Wait some more until it is also 'synchronized'
            7. If HS reports it created a new remote device, it's done

In the events, you can pick "if this device had it's value set to" pick the newly added miniremote controller, pick "button 1 pressed" (or whatever).
Then do whatever you need in the event.
I used them to set various lighting devices to different levels.

The long-press options allow me to do the 'off' function for the scene. so with one miniremote I can toggle on and off up to four scenes.

Have tried to add minimote as per instructions above with no luck all I get is ~!~Z-Wave Error~!~Error, the Replication Send response object is null and a normal ending was not reported - Replication Send failed.

Have updated minimote to 1.18 and running lasted beta z-wave 3.0.0.158, any help would be appreciated.

              Cheers

I used the same routine to add 3 MiniMotes to my system - worked like a charm the first time on all three. I did it after updating to 1.18 firmware, but 1.19 is out now. MiniMote Firmware

I am using 1.19 on the minimote.

Does anyone have battery status with their Minimote working or showing up at all?

Mine works great in HS3... but it only installs as one device... no child with battery status.

Mine have never reported battery level. I have about 8.
